Cape Town TNHF Staff Wins Prestigious Community Impact Award!

TNHF is proud to report that our very own Edwin Louw has won Shoprite Stores Community Worker of the month!

Shoprite is one of South Africa's leading food retail stores that prides itself on its community oriented social investment programs (think New Seasons--South Africa.)

Edwin received this award because of his longstanding commitment to community development in the Cape Flats.

Reverend Edwin Louw holds a BA in Theology from the University of Fort Hare (Nelson Mandela & Desmond Tutu's alma mater) and an MA in HIV/AIDS Management from Stellenbosch University. Alongside work with TNHF, he is the centre manager at the JL Zwane Centre in Gugulethu, investing in the social needs of the local community. He loves cricket, creating educational opportunities for young people, and his family.

Edwin has played a key role in growing These Numbers Have Faces, and we are indebted to his contribution to our programs. Right now he is presenting to local high schools in the Western Cape, rallying support for the new TNHF scholarship students.

We think he's pretty great, and we're glad Shoprite agrees!
