Saturday Street Fair
Three of our TNHF Interns give face time to the faces we support!
This past Saturday, three of our fabulous interns, Matt, Melanie and Andrew, did These Numbers Have Faces proud at the Clinton/Division street fair. Portland neighborhoods have a lot of pride, and every coulple of weeks during the summer, a different area celebrates in style. Arts and crafts vendors, activist groups (like us!), food stands and musicians abound.
The street Fair was a great opportunity for TNHF to reach out to the PDX community and let them know what we're all about. We got some encouraging feedback from people as they became engaged in our vision for South Africa.

Around noon there was a pretty sweet parade complete with drum line, color gaurd, a fire truck and people on absurdly tall bikes. Our spot on the corner of 36th and Division provided a prime viewing location for the festivites.
This is only the second street fair TNHF has ever done and we are excited to brainstorm bigger and better ways to present ourselves. Be sure to stop by our booth at the Hawthorne Street Fair, Sunday, August 15th to see what we think of next! (Rumor has it we will also be debuting our new t-shirt designs created by another of our interns, the lovely Jesse. I have seen them, and trust me, you won't want to miss this!)
See you then!
