TNHF High School Recruitment

This past Thursday, Morgan and Edwin, two of our project coordinators, made school presentations at Fezeka and Heideveld high schools telling students about the TNHF scholarship program. They had anticipated speaking to a handful of classrooms, twenty student at a time, in a casual and intimate setting.  What they didn't expect was to arrive at Heideveld and be met with the faces of 130 students, assembled together and ready to hear they had to say. The kids sat enraptured as Edwin spoke, inspired by his words of encouragement and determination.

After the presentation at Heidelveld, a grade 12 senior teacher gave Morgan and Edwin a list of the top 20 students, with the top 13 girls highlighted. Very exciting!

There are a few more presentations planned throughout this week and next. Then we wait for the students to submit the applications and the review process begins. We can't wait to meet the new young people we will be adding to the TNHF family!
