The African Messenger is a Portland, Oregon, based online publication dedicated to the best of Africa and Africans. On July 3, 2010, they held their First Annual African Achievement Award show. They honored African athletes, artists, educators, dancers, and many others who have “positively impacted others and continue to be sources of encouragement to those who seek greatness.”
